Health Care

Vaccinations

It is important that all puppies are vaccinated against

  • Distemper
  • Parovirus
  • Infectious hepatitis
  • Leptospirosis

Your puppy should have it's initial vaccination at eight weeks old - so that should have been done by the time he comes home with you.

A second round of treatment is then due around two to four weeks later. Only after this will the vaccination be fully effective and puppy properly protected.

Annual booster vaccinations will then ensure protection throughout the dog's life.

The second round of treatment at 10 to 12 weeks gives you a great chance to get puppy checked over by your vet and for you to chat through any questions you might have about your puppy’s health care.

Flea Treatment & Worming

Regular flea treatment and worming is important to puppy's health.

Don’t wait until you see fleas on your puppy - speak to your vet about preventive treatment, available either in 'spot-on' medicine or in tablet form.
